Jean-Claude Bouchard, a laicized Catholic priest returns home to Lyon, France, just days before the May 10, 1940, German invasion. After receiving a telegram from the Vatican, Jean-Claude is asked by an Archbishop to intercede in an urgent matter of faith before the arrival of the Nazis.
