Gemini Magazine’s Annual Flash Fiction Contest offers a monetary prize for publication.

For this contest, I reworked an existing piece, Born in the Sands of Mars, into a 1,000-word sudden fiction story titled Walking on the Bones of Angels.

The title comes from the last line in the story. We’ll see how it goes! Finalists are supposed to be announced in the October 2023 edition of Gemini Magazine.

I received word on Sept. 15 that they couldn’t use the story. Oh well, onward and upward!
